Kichili Samba rice is a type of short-grain aromatic rice grown in the Southern States of India , particularly in the Tamil Nadu region. The name “Kichili Samba”means “Small Pearl” in Tamil, referring to the size and shape of the grains.  Kichili samba has a unique flavour.Kichili samba rice boosts the immune system, strengthens muscles and makes skin look shiny.

 

How is Kichili Samba Rice Cultivated?

 

Kichili Samba is a traditional rice variety that originated in Tamil Nadu, India. Kichili Samba boiled rice is one of many different Samba (or rabi Season) rice varieties grown in Tamil Nadu and has survived for centuries.

The name”Kichili” means small that refers to the size of the grain.It is grown during the samba season in Tamil Nadu, which lasts from july to january.
